A laminated piece of furniture uses a very thin covering of a different type of wood or particle board that is stained or finished to look like a more expensive or exotic type of wood.
How to repair laminate furniture.
Press the blistered area firmly with a medium hot iron.
Look for primer at your local hardware or paint store.
Apply the primer using a brush or roller until there s an even coverage on the entire surface of the furniture.
Press the bubbled section down firmly using your gloved hand.
If it s not a match don t glue.
If your kit comes with ingredients that should be mixed together to form a putty or other filler follow the manufacturer s instructions.
I know with veneer you can use wood putty but laminate is a bit trickier maude.
Repair bubbled wood laminate veneer by flattening it after steaming the laminate material to get it pliable place a damp cloth over the bubbled blistered area.
Wooden furniture generally comes in two types natural or laminated.
Then cut a slit into the top of the bubble.
Apply a high quality latex primer to the furniture s surface.
Use the marker crayon putty or pencil in the kit to fill in the scratch.
A glue repair works best if you have a piece of veneer that s an exactfit and matches up with the existing grain.
First use a sample of your laminate flooring if you have one to find a touch up or repair kit in a matching color.
To protect the surface set a sheet of wax paper and then a sheet of smooth cardboard on the surface and cover the cardboard with a clean cloth.

If there are several blisters move the iron slowly and evenly back and forth.
Start the repair by putting on utility gloves to ensure you don t burn yourself.
Press on the bubble to allow any excess air to escape through the slit.
I know this is a tall order but if one day you could do a tutorial about how to repair laminate furniture chips dents etc that would be fabulous.
If you do it will be impossible to stain well super difficult.
Small blisters in veneer can usually be flattened with heat.
